Fingerprints seeks one or more Digital ASIC Design Engineers to help us in developing future biometric systems for smartphones and other devices. The sensor design is a mixed-mode design in a standard CMOS process. Fingerprints is a global leader in the development of capacitive fingerprint sensors and designs the entire system, from advanced custom silicon devices and microelectronic packaging, to the algorithms and software for fingerprint including the recognition, and applications on the target devices.
The position as Digital Physical Design Engineer includes working in close cooperation with colleagues developing future sensor systems to meet future demands for biometric systems with focus on the physical implementation of the digital parts. In Fingerprints, you will be able to work with projects from system design investigations, physical implementation, validation of result and documentation.
We are seeking for both senior and junior candidates for the positions. For the right person, the company will provide the necessary training as required. The training will be tailored individually along the needs. In addition to training, supervision and support from colleagues will also be offered.
You will have the opportunity to run the physical design flow including synthesis, floorplan, place & route, STA, LEC etc. As an employee, you will affect the outcome of the final product by your own ideas. You will be working with test development such as ATPG and will be a key person when it comes to support, develop and drive improvements of the physical design flow and development process. You are enthusiastic and driven, with a commitment to see your ideas through to successful implementation as a part of a collaborative cross-functional team.
The work location will be preferred in Gothenburg or Linköping as agreed between Fingerprints and the candidate.
International travel to Fingerprints suppliers, partners, and customers may occur.
This role requires a Master of Science in Engineering, with specialization in electronics, physics, computer science or equivalent or got the experience from several years in similar industry with a BSc from academia. You can be newly graduated as well as if you have several years of occupational experience of similar fields to apply for this position.
You can communicate fluently in English, written and spoken, and have the possibility to travel if necessary.
