RUC is looking for a student to help create the best start at the university for international students

Do you have the ideas and the desire to develop and organise the social parts of the Foundation Course for the fall semester? Then you have the opportunity to join the team that organises the introduction for international students starting at RUC.

Foundation Course is a 1.5 weeks introductory course about RUC, Denmark and student life in a different country. The students who participate are exchange students at bachelor’s and master’s level or full degree masters students at Roskilde University.

You will be working closely with the Foundation Course coordinator in charge of the course program, budget and overall framework in cooperation with the International Education and Mobility office. Moreover, we rely on a group of volunteers.

Your tasks are focused on recruiting volunteers and ensuring great conditions for participants as well as volunteers. It will be your responsibility to arrange social events and activities hosted in connection to the Foundation Course - be it a grill party, a trip to Roskilde, a treasure hunt or a lecture. Only your imagination sets the limit.

It is an advantage, but not a requirement that you fulfill the following:

- Close contact to the international environment at RUC
- Experience in volunteer work
- Used to organise activities for many people
- Good capabilities in both written and oral English
- Able to work independently and with others

In this position, you gain plenty of experience in planning courses, get to know many new people, and the joy of giving new students a great start at RUC.

The position is paid with a limit at 40 hours in total, based on the HK collective agreement for student helpers.

Foundation Course is held from the 21st to 30th of August, and it is expected that you will be able to working the week up to an during the course.
