Stock Control Manager

Key Accountabilities

We are looking for a results-driven Stock Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of stock control, ensuring accurate inventory levels, reducing obsolesces, supporting and developing the team members, and providing comprehensive reporting on achievements, challenges & opportunities.

Duties and Responsibilites 

As the manager responsible for overseeing all stock holding required for all site production.  Your role is multifaceted and critical to the smooth operation of the inventory management process.  You will continue with the implementation of the Scanning & Traceability project. You'll ensure that the team reports accurate stock figures promptly, managing inventory levels in accordance with business rules and targets, and identifying and managing obsolescence risks. Correct rotation of stock and maintaining orderly stores to be audit-ready, alongside maximizing space utilization and training the team in safe stock handling procedures.

Your role extends beyond operational tasks to challenge the status quo and drive continuous improvement. Effective communication, both internally and externally, is key, as you'll serve as the primary point of contact for all stock-related matters and interact with various stakeholders such as procurement, production, S&OP and finance departments. People management is integral to your responsibilities, encompassing tasks such as scheduling, motivating, and developing the team.

Additionally, you'll generate comprehensive reports using tools like Excel and PowerPoint to track stock performance, identify trends, and highlight areas for improvement. Analysing data to uncover opportunities and constraints in stock management will inform strategic decision-making, while also being adaptable to handle ad hoc duties as they arise.

Your role as a master of organization and change agent is crucial. It will drive the success of stock management, contribute to the company's sustainability efforts, and ensure operational excellence in our dynamic environment.

Requirements

  • At least three years management experience in Inventory & Stock Control.
  • Hands-on management style.
  • Experienced in leading teams of 10-15 people.
  • Analytical mindset for interpreting data and making decisions.
  • Flexible to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Strong IT skills.
  • Self-motivated.
  • Good organizational, time management, and communication skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Proven track record of achieving development goals.
  • Customer-focused with a commitment to quality service.
  • Strong numerical ability for data recording and analysis.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
