The role
As a Data Engineer, you will be part of the core team that consume data and makes it available for our commercial and product departments, both for analytical and embellishment purposes. You will join the Data Engineering Team that is part of the Data Science department. You will be working with a mature Big Data architecture hosted in AWS Cloud leveraging both batch and real time architectures. Also, you will be handling ETL processes with Spark framework using Scala, Java and Python.

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Develop and maintain our ETL pipelines
• Drive changes in our development processes
• Driving change to our architecture
• Engineer and maintain data infrastructure

What we are looking for
We are looking for someone who is into working with the deep technical parts of Data Engineering. We believe that you are currently working as a Data Engineer and have 3+ years of experience.

The ideal candidate also meets all or some of the qualifications:

• Solid experience with Spark framework
• Experience in Data Architecture (big data or otherwise)
• Strong experience in handling everything from traditional to semi- or unstructured data
• Interest in the inner workings of the ETL process and software development
• Interest in the holistic perspective, the end result and how your work will impact the users
• A good attitude, sense of humor, and ability to work humbly with others in a creative team environment

It is a bonus if you have:

• Experience working with cloud tech, specifically experience in Amazon AWS and its plethora of services
• A dedication to testing, code reviewing and other quality-oriented practices
