WHO WE ARE

We are on a continuous and exciting journey to ensure a renewed focus on effective processes, teamwork and engagement. We are therefore looking for a colleague to join our National Project Finance team in the Business Finance & National Projects section. The key mandate of our section is to provide quality counseling, financial support and quality assurance regarding all financial aspects throughout the entire project cycle for national projects. The successful candidate will become an important part of this continued team journey and have a chance to influence how we will shape and conduct financial project controlling and engagement with National Department as well as Business Finance in the future, to ensure we live up to Save the Children’s high- quality standards.

You will have ongoing interaction and sparring with your diverse and knowledgeable teammates in the team and the section, along with a close collaboration with the national department, as well as many cross functional stakeholders from other departments. You can also expect close collaboration with our International Project Finance & Compliance section. You will be met with and involved in challenging developmental tasks where you will learn and grow.

In the role you will have to communicate in both Danish and English. The ability to navigate between the two languages in a multicultural environment must be something that motivates you.

YOU WILL

The role of the senior project controller is divided into five key areas:

    • Project controlling and financial monitoring of Red Barnet's donor grants and activities in Denmark.
    • Coordination and prioritising of tasks and upcoming deadlines with the National Department
    • Sparring on budget/project development and budget follow-ups with the project managers and team leaders.
    • Monitoring and managing deadlines as well as documentation in relation to project audits, donor reporting and manintaining internal audit trails (documentation)
    • Digitization to contribute to the development and implementation of an improved set of digital and automated processes and reports.

    YOUR PROFESSIONAL & PERSONAL PROFILE

    Qualifications, Skills and Experience
    In addition to your experience (preferably from the NGO sector) you should have a relevant education, for example in the areas of finance, economics or international business, you have the following skills and experience:

    • Proven experience with financial analysis
    • Experience in financial project controlling
    • Proven experience working with Excel
    • roficient in Danish and English written and spoken
    • Understanding of accounting principles and experience with accounting software

    Personal Competencies
    You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills which you use to enable the organisation to make wise decisions. You are a team-player and collaborate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders to achieve shared goals.

    TERMS & RECRUITMENT PROCESS
    You will be employed in an AC position according to the terms and conditions of the local Collective Agreement between Red Barnet and the relevant unions.

    You will work 37 hours per week.
