How your skills as a protein scientist will make an impact
Your new workplace is the Arla Foods Ingredients Innovation Centre in Nr. Vium. You will have the opportunity to work from home on certain days. Our R&D department is comprised of 90 skilled and dedicated scientists, technicians, and administrative staff. Your new colleagues possess extensive experience in protein science, fractionation, process technology, enzyme application, and project management.

As a Scientist in the R&D Develop department, you will be employed in a challenging role. Your primary objective will be to conduct trials aimed at progressing new product ideas. Your responsibilities will include:

• Collaborating with NPD teams to develop innovative ingredients.
• Planning and executing trials across laboratory, pilot, and production scales, in collaboration with laboratory technicians and operators.
• Analyzing and documenting data to support the ongoing development of ingredients.

What will make you successful
We are seeking an exceptional candidate for the role of Protein Scientist with a strong background in process technology. Ideal candidates will possess an educational background in engineering, biochemistry/molecular biology, or a related field in the life sciences. Our preference would be candidates with a Ph.D. degree.

You should demonstrate a structured and proactive approach, with a perfect balance of independence and teamwork. You must have the ability to work effectively both as part of a team and on your own. In addition, we are specifically looking for candidates who possess the following qualifications:

• Extensive experience in protein characterization, as well as protein purification/chromatography.
• Proven expertise in process technology, particularly in production-scale fractionation using methods such as membrane filtration, chromatography, or spray drying.
• Basic knowledge of proteins, lipids, minerals, and their unique characteristics.
• Previous experience working with milk or whey proteins is highly desirable.
