We are seeking a passionated Senior Manger to join our growing team. As a key member of the Ascendis Pharma team, you will play a crucial role in taking our Group Accounting & Reporting team to next level and moving us ahead in our global “Finance Winning Aspiration”. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, collaborate with cross-functional, global teams working together to achieve extraordinary results.
You will be joining the Group Accounting & Reporting team consisting of 4 colleagues, and report directly to Hasse Hedberg, Head of Group Accounting & Reporting, who is based in Hellerup. You will be based in Hellerup.
Your key responsibilities will be:
- Work with our business on exciting new contracts and their impact in respect of IFRS and external reporting
- Participate in group accounting tasks and our “centers of excellence”, which include significant contract reviews, license and collaboration agreements, leases, and other complex accounting and reporting matters.
- Participate in developing and establishing accounting policies under IFRS
- Participate in developing and establishing IFRS reporting procedures across the group
- Provide accounting support and training to Finance Operations
- Ensure external reporting compliance in line with IFRS and SEC rules, using our advanced software setup for SEC reporting and more
Qualifications and Skills:
You hold a relevant academic degree – preferably cand.merc.aud – and minimum 5 years of experience within the audit and/or accounting field.
Furthermore, you have:
- Efficient problem-solving skills looking to find practical answers to complex issues
- Experience in working with IFRS accounting standards, preparation of accounting memos and annual reports
- An analytical mindset and the ability to structure large volume of information
- Experience in working with(in) a global group with several foreign entities and accounting frameworks.
- The ability to navigate in cross functional tasks and projects within Finance and reach into other departments
