PR and Communications Manager

CO2 is a global problem. By fermenting it into carbon negative chemicals, we make it the solution.

We have figured out how to take the carbon outputs from industrial emitters, and use them as the inputs for chemical manufacturing. We’re not simply storing carbon away - we are turning it into valuable, emission-free green-chemicals. What you’ll do
We are looking for a PR and Communications Manager to help us tell our story – the story of how we are putting CO2 to good use. This is a hands-on and multidisciplinary role and you will be wearing many different hats. As our first communications hire, you will be responsible for building our PR and communications strategy from the ground up. Your role involves engaging our diverse audiences, from industrial stakeholders to potential talent and the general public who have been waiting on a solution like ours.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement our PR & communications strategies to raise awareness of Again and our novel CO2-to-chemical technology
• Support talent acquisition, investor relations, and partnership development efforts through effective PR campaigns
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with key media contacts, journalists, and relevant industry influencers
• Write and distribute press releases, media pitches, and other press materials to secure positive media coverage
• Manage the company's social media channels, including content creation, community engagement and improve our employer brand
• Provide strategic communications advice to management and be our all-round go-to person for storytelling and sharing what we are doing here at SecondCircle!

Job requirements
About you

• You have a degree in communications, public relations, journalism, marketing, or a related field
• You have 4-5 years of relevant experience, ideally in a similar role in PR, corporate communications, or related roles, preferably from a start-up and/or biotech industry
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill complex scientific concepts into clear and compelling messaging
• You love storytelling & creative writing - and can spot many opportunities to improve this job ad (bonus points if you have some suggestions for us in our first call)
• You are hands on and work independently as you will be riding solo and won't have a communications team around you to rely on
• It’s essential that you have a strong interest in the green transition, and a plus if you have worked in the area of biotech, carbon capture, or the chemical industry
