About the Position
As a key player, you will play a pivotal role in optimizing the design and integration of our solar PV projects into the grid. You will be developing advanced simulation models to evaluate technical feasibility and optimization of proposed designs, along with compliance with local Grid Code requirements. Thereby, you will be ensuring the technical documentation required across our core markets, to support procurement and construction activities, as well as obtain the final grid connection permits (EON/ION/FON) for our PV plants. You will have an interface internally to various colleagues across departments and externally in relation to TSOs, DSOs, and consultants who assist on different matters.

Your Key Responsibilities
Your responsibilities include:
- Designing the electrical infrastructure for the LV, MV and HV systems of our PV plants, from the inverters to the connection point.
- Ensure the technical documentation required to obtain the final grid connection permits (EON/ION/FON) for our PV plants.
- Developing advanced simulation models of our wind and solar farms in PowerFactory and PSCAD, which is required for the grid connection permit. This includes Harmonic-, steady-state-, Dynamic- and Transient simulation models.
- Provide important knowledge for the optimization of our park designs and coordinate the design work with other colleagues from the Engineering Department (PV Designers, Instrumentation & Control Engineers), as well as with Construction Project Managers.
- Automize the studies with simulation models and scripting to develop standardized design tools.
- Analyze the technical requirements for network connections in existing and new markets, to ensure that park designs are compliant with the local requirements.
- Support in technical discussions during the procurement of main electrical components.
- Manage external consultants during the Detailed Design phase of our PV plants, when it is chosen to outsource the Grid Code Compliance studies.
Experience
- 3-5 years relevant professional experience within distribution and transmission systems regarding: Grid connection studies (mathematical modelling of PV and wind plants) to ensure compliance with requirements for grid connection, grid analysis, planning, optimization, and electrical design.
- B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering.
- Experience working with PowerFactory and PSCAD. Knowledge of PSS/E would also be beneficial.
- Experience with programming in Python or similar coding language.
- Fully proficient in English
About the Team
You will be part of the diverse Engineering department, under the EPC (Engineering, Procurement and Construction) & Operations department. The Grid Integration team is one of four sub teams in Engineering and consists of 3 colleagues located in Denmark. You will be reporting to Group Manager, Grid integration and work at our HQ in Copenhagen.
