DTU Skylab is looking for a passionate Climate Impact Program manager to join our team!

About the position:
Are you deeply committed to making a positive climate impact? Do you envision startups as catalysts for change in the green transition? With experience in climate solutions and entrepreneurship, are you eager to guide and support new teams?

At DTU Skylab, we recognize the urgent need to address human-caused climate change. We firmly believe that students and researchers hold the key to generating innovative solutions, both in research projects and through new startups. Thus, we have decided to create a specialized startup program tailored to meet the complex demands and challenges within the climate solutions landscape.

Now, we're seeking a passionate, engaged program manager to join our small, diverse, and ambitious Startup Coach team. We're looking for someone who not only has a deep understanding of the complex, systemic nature of climate solutions but also can collaborate with the team to design and execute this new program.

Background:
As part of DTU's commitment to nurturing more green startups, DTU Skylab and Earthbound are collaborating to develop an accelerator program specifically targeting Climate Impact startups. For the past 8 years, DTU Skylab has successfully operated the Skylab Ignite accelerator program for early-stage startups biannually. Launched in the fall of 2023, DTU Earthbound is a climate tech catalyst that nurtures deep tech science, matches scientists with proven entrepreneurs, and hatches early startups that fight climate change.

We're now seeking an individual with a background in entrepreneurship and sustainability, coupled with a passion for guiding new entrepreneurs to maturity. You possess the drive and skills to build, manage and drive the new program, in alignment with our current offerings.

As our new Program manager, you will:

  • Be responsible for developing and managing the Climate Accelerator program.
  • Define the specific needs of climate impact startups for learning and performance.
  • Design and plan new workshops on relevant topics; sustainability, systemic design etc.
  • Plan the program in concert with the existing accelerator program; Skylab Ignite.
  • Conduct teaching modules (with the team and external resources).
  • Recruit early-stage climate startups amongst DTU students and researchers.
  • Coach individual Climate startups on a weekly basis to help them progress.
  • Coordinate new activities with Skylab’s existing programs and initiatives.
  • Note that a few times per semester, teaching activities will take place in the evenings.

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • Deep knowledge in Sustainability and Climate challenges
  • Experience from working with startups and/or entrepreneurial experience.
  • A relevant higher education, for instance technical, scientific or commercial.
  • Experience in designing and facilitating workshops.
  • A structured approach to planning and process development.
  • A positive and engaged nature, and a team oriented, co-creating mindset.
  • An ability to operate and interact with the large network of stakeholders surrounding DTU.
  • Fluency in English, oral and written.
