Senior IIoT Engineer

Job Description
This role gives an exciting opportunity to join a new platform team and influence how IT technology can innovate our molding area and take it to the next level of automation, optimization, and reliability.

The platform technology department provides solutions and technology for the engineering areas of the LEGO Group.

Core Responsibilities:

• Help set direction and culture in a brand new and highly important team with no legacy systems.
• Drive and build the technical platform.

Play your part in our team succeeding

In this position you will be part of a product team where you will build a platform that will enable other product teams to collect data from the factory floor and deploy software that interacts with factory machines. You will be close to the hardware ensuring that our machines can connect to the cloud in a secure, scalable and easily maintainable way. The platform will be designed to work with small, low-cost computing devices in an IoT-like scenario. The ambition is to have a zero-touch provisioning platform to avoid the need for specialized IT knowledge on the factory floor.

Do you have what it takes?

• Skilled in programming languages such as TypeScript, Python, or similar.
• Some experience with IoT
• Experience with infrastructure, preferably infrastructure as code.
• Proficient in CI/CD, GitHub Actions, Containerization.
• Knowledgeable in working with AWS or Azure cloud providers.
• Enjoys working with software and hardware together.
• Works independently and can help set the direction for the product team.
• Open for new initiatives and drives great team culture.
• Able to communicate and document ideas with peers.

In addition, it would be nice if you also have:

• Passion and curiosity.
• Experience with network devices.
• You might have experience as a systems administrator, but you also have experience with software development.
• Experience with OS provisioning.
