Techical Sales Engineer

Job Summary:
The role of Technical Sales Engineer is pivotal in our customer-centric approach, using your technical tooling expertise to understand your customer’s diverse needs, showcasing how our products & services can meet and exceed their expectations.

Location: North East
It’s essential you are situated in the area to ensure comprehensive coverage of the North East region

Key Skills & Responsibilities:

Account Management:
You'll be entrusted not only with maintaining our current business in the area but also with elevating its growth potential. Your primary focus will be on cultivating and expanding existing relationships, seizing every opportunity to introduce a broader spectrum of products and services to your valued accounts. But that's not all – we're tasking you with uncovering fresh client prospects and driving substantial sales growth in the region.

Technical Expertise & Customer Engagement:

  • Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to showcase the technical capabilities and advantages of our offerings.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to tailor solutions to meet client requirements and provide technical expertise during the sales process.
  • Assist in the preparation of technical proposals, documentation, and other materials required for the sales process.
  • Provide pre and post-sales technical support, including product training and troubleshooting assistance, proactively maintaining strong relationships and ensuring a positive customer experience.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor offerings, and technological advancements to provide informed insights and recommendations to clients.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and market developments.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Team Collaboration:
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including internal sales and consignment.

Experience:
Recent and relevant experience in a comparable technical sales position, particularly cutting tools, is imperative for consideration for this role, as is a familiarity with sales processes and customer relationship management.

Who will you be working with:
You will be reporting directly to the National Sales Director, who has over 20 years of industry experience and has been with Kyocera for 12 years, in addition to support from our Key Account and Business Development Manager.
